Karachi: Sindhi nationalists are organising a rally in favour of unity of Sindh province and averting any demands of division of Sindh.
The rally is being taken out in protest against the demand of creation of a new province in Sindh and also against the earlier police operation in Lyari, which left at least 45 people dead.
Ayaz Palijo of Awami Tehreek and Marvi Memon of PML-N are some of the prominent leaders leading the rally.
Hundreds of people have gathered at the Lyari Cheel Chowk and are raising slogans and placards in favour of Sindh.
The rally tried to reach the Chief Minister and Governor House but the authorities have blocked the roads leading to the areas.
Red Zone has been totally sealed and all the roads leading to Chief Minister and Governor House have way been blocked with containers ahead of the rally, which has resulted in a massive traffic jam.
Police has also taken control of the streets to avoid any unfavourable incident.
