Islamabad: Ex-Minister for Law and Justice Babar Awan has been indicted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan for contempt of court.
However, Babar Awan has refused to accept the indictment and pleads his innocence.
He also said that there is no law regarding contempt of court in Pakistan.
Babar Awan also said, “Attorney General hasn’t been heard ever since the proceedings of the court began.”
He has been accused of contempt of court after he lashed out at the Supreme Court and the PML-N in a press conference.
He responded that his press conference was of political nature and the target of the press conference was PML-N. He further said that he had no intention of ridiculing the SC.
Babar Awan is already under the cosh after being stripped off all his ranks from the Pakistan’s Peoples’ Party
