FAISALABAD:
MNA Nisar Ahmad Jatt on Thursday said that Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah should apologise for what he said about Pakhtuns in connection with an army operation in the tribal areas.
Talking to The Express Tribune, Jatt said all Pakhtoons were neither miscreants nor terrorists.
“They [Pakhtuns] are hardworking… they come to the Punjab in search of a better livelihood… they also have good business relations with traders in the province.”
Jatt said Pakhtuns were an asset to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has chosen a peaceful way to overcome terrorism… He has given peace talks another chance so that law and order can be maintained without bloodshed,” he added.
“The entire nation is behind the prime minister’s decision… the law minister should take back his statement.”
“The peaceful talks are imperative for maintenance of law and order in the country… Pakistan cannot bear a full-fledged war,” he added.
